Kingston Man Admits To Killing Passenger In Newburgh Drunk Driving Crash

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A Kingston man admitted to killing the passenger of his car in a drunk-driving crash in the town of Newburgh last December, according to the Times Herald-Record.

James Black, 30, said he was drunk on Dec. 22 when he crashed his 2003 GMC Sierra pickup truck on Quaker Street and killed his passenger, Detrell Pittman. Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, the Record reported.
